By installing the Why Bookmarked Chrome extension or using our web dashboard at whybookmarked.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Why Bookmarked provides a tool for saving, organizing, and generating AI insights for web bookmarks. The service includes a browser extension, a web-based dashboard, and AI-powered metadata generation.

3. User Accounts & Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account (including Google authentication).
  • You are responsible for all content saved and all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.

4. Use of AI & Content

  • The extension uses third-party AI models (e.g., Llama 3.1) to generate insights and tags. These insights are provided "as is" and may occasionally be inaccurate.
  • You retain ownership of the notes and bookmarks you save, but you grant us the necessary license to process this data to provide the service (e.g., sending notes to our AI provider for analysis).

5. Subscription & Payments

  • Some features require a paid "Pro" subscription. Prices are as stated on our pricing page.
  • Payments are handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time.
  • Refunds are only provided in exceptional cases of service failure as described in our Refund Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

Why Bookmarked shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of the service.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
